Travel companion app to enhance clients' journeys
Our client is a leading European travel company, selling around 1.6 million trips annually. As a member of one of the most prominent leisure travel groups in the world, our customer is supported by 21,000 employees and serves over 22 million customers annually. The company includes five large tour operators in different countries, a hotel company owning three hotel chains, and their own airlines.
By the time our cooperation started, our customer had already been using a travel campaign app that provided useful information for people who’ve booked a trip. They wanted to develop new features for the app to improve the customer experience at each step of the journey.
With the help of Skelia, our client has successfully introduced new features in mobile apps, providing better support for holidaymakers. The core modules that improved the travel experience most were:

Hospitality mobile access;
Customer service and customer satisfaction.
By introducing a better travel experience, our client improved business indicators across every customer touchpoint of the mobile channels.
A unique microservice architecture for a Cloud-based smart irrigation platform
ETwater, a Jain Irrigation company, has over fifteen years of experience working with the largest businesses, municipalities, and HOAs in the US to reduce and optimize water consumption. It is the only smart irrigation company with a patent to centrally process big data to implement predictive watering schedules based on plant types, soil and slope conditions, and environmental factors.
Skelia’s partnership with ETwater started in 2014, and the two companies sparked a partnership that has been active for 6 years now.
Skelia’s mission was to transition the ETwater platform from the monolith architecture to microservices and deploy it on Amazon Cloud. The team was in charge of architecture design and core system development for a smart irrigation platform that manages water flow through controllers.
Skelia successfully developed a new cloud-based microservice solution for the client. All major enterprise accounts successfully transitioned their water management to the new platform and were excited about the enhanced functionality and cost savings.
AI and Big Data to reveal real-time car choices
Find.me is a Belgian digital platform that aggregates all available data about a specific product and then provides recommendations to users based on their profiles.
Skelia helped to build Find.me’s Data Science model right from scratch. This model contained a mixture of analytic approaches for Find.me/mycar:
1. Analysis and processing of static, content-based models;
2. Dynamic, collaborative filtering models for individual items, based on user actions and preferences;
3. Dynamic, collaborative filtering models for subcategories, based on user actions and preferences;
4. A rule-based model that.
At present, the basic platform for car search with virtual assistance is complete and successfully launched on the market. Find.me/mycar helps people to easily find the best option for their future car and it saves them tons of hours they would have needed to spend on the internet. They get a personalized offer, based on a proprietary developed matching algorithm.
