Give us a quick overview on Bit Space Development. When and how did you begin this journey and what were your motives to be successful in app development?

Bit Space Development was founded in 2015. The initial mission was to build a company that built cool stuff that solved problems. We wanted to work with the latest technology and innovate on every project. This quickly put us into the niche of Virtual Reality where we really found that we excelled at creating immersive learning experiences.


What is your role in the management and development of Bit Space Development?

I am the CEO here at Bit Space, my role is to work with the business development team, development team, and art teams to ensure that projects are high quality, on time, and that we are working with the right people. We have managers for each department but the way we operate is very collaborative, so I am involved in each of our projects.


Tell us about your biggest achievement in the industry

Recently our production Level Up VR won a prestigious award four our clients for innovation in marketing. This is huge for us because we love helping our clients win awards for their vision.


How do you schedule the development phases of the apps to promise the timeline to your clients?

Development is broken down into 4 phases. First, we enter the ideation phase where we start consulting with the client to really drill into the problem they are trying to solve, this helps us build a concrete timeline that we can adhere to for development. Second is the actual building phase where we start doing the core work on the project. Third we implement the technology developed, fourth we measure, pilot, and look at what was creative.


How do you help your clients in choosing the right yet profitable platform for app development?

During the ideation phase we do a deep dive into the available technologies and what the pros and cons are. During this time we assess the clients’ needs and help them understand the difference and how to move forward.


Which would you suggest for a successful and profitable business progression, Native or hybrid apps? How do you define the factors that influenced you to make this choice?

Generally, we recommend a hybrid application due to the fact we can rapidly iterate on designs and deploy. This is not always the solution to the problem, however. The biggest influence on this decision for us is how much the client is ready to invest both time and money into developing for multiple platforms, considering that people forget to include is time and cost for ongoing maintenance.


How do you scheme your pricing model? How do you fix your budget?

This is often handled on a project by project base. We often do fixed price for specific deliverables however some of our clients have us on retainer and we work hourly.


How helpful are the mobile apps developed by your team, for enhancing your clients’ business?

Our reviews on various platforms show that what we develop really does enhance our client’s business, because we spend so much time working with our clients upfront to plan and identify the real problems they are trying to solve.


What according to you are the best practices to attain client satisfaction?

Listening to and working with your clients is crucial to the success of the project but also the only way to really satisfy your clients.


How do you update your business system to be in pace with the technological advancements?

We’re a company of tinkerers and nerds, we love new technology. Because of this we are always learning and growing, hacking and building to make sure we’re always on top of the latest tech.


What are your thoughts about AR, VR and Internet of Things (IoT)?

Because we’re so heavily focused on VR and AR we are of course very opinionated about it. We have been working hard on some award-winning projects and research to further the AR and VR industries. This is technology that is here to stay. IoT is also very important, automating our world and making us more efficient is going to change the way we live.


What do you think will be the future of Mobile technology?

Mobile technology, embedded technology, wearable technology is all here to stay. As these technologies converge, we will see the types of apps and the usefulness skyrocket.
