Give us a quick overview on DigiTrends. When and how did you begin this journey and what were your motives to be successful in app development?

We started in 2015 and have exponentially grown over these years. We are a full-service digital product development company, with expertise in the latest technologies. DigiTrends has a satisfied clientele of over 500 companies, including multiple Fortune 500 Companies such as Abbott, Sanofi, Pfiser, Nestle, UniLever, P&G, Novartis, Burque, Novo Nordisk, Searl, etc. We were looking forward to becoming a one-stop solution for startups and enterprises. We are successfully on our way to achieve the vision. In fact, we are almost there.

I had worked for multinational and co-founded, sold a couple of technology companies during my time in the Dubai & Silicon Valley; the last of which we sold to digital people, Samad Saleem (CEO) had led large engineering teams in his previous tech ventures and an extra leader to handle large scale projects; He was also a founder and CTO of Pakistan’s first mobile application in 2008 and Talha Ahmed (CTO) is an expert in engineer, leader and solution architect. He led the teams in various software houses, and contributed heavily to their mapping solution.

In a very short time we have built a team of over 130 engineers and experts at DigiTrends with a proven track record of building & growing digital products from zero to millions of concurrent users.

What is your role in the management and development of DigiTrends?

I mainly focus on sales and marketing while leading our organization in a profitable way. I closely follow the app market trends to strategize the flow of our ROI towards better profits. Taking our brand to the service seekers and work accordingly to gain their trust is an important factor that I work on. Our growth is what I always aim at and I have been successfully heading towards the horizons. I keep an eye on the competition in the market and how our peers work forward. I like to read the achievements and the innovative methods that are influencing businesses in the country and worldwide with absolute enthusiasm and implement the affordable aspects tactfully.

My focus is on fostering a mindset of problem-solving while holding on to innovation and creativity. Having a vast development and market experience allows me to overlook the processes and projects.

Tell us about your biggest achievement in the industry.

There are so many to choose from. For example, we are the technology company that developed the entire platform for the Castle NFT (NFT Marketplace & NFT eco-system). Castle NFT is the first unicorn in the North America, and went on to get series A out for $15 million for the valuation of $150million. It was a unique achievement in the North America and we could not have done it without the exceptional engineers, product strategist, project managers and UX designers in our team. We have helped create platforms for two other companies that went on to become unicorns.

However, I think our best achievement to date has been when we were awarded the top app development company since 2018. These awards are the testament to the quality and perfection we have developed in our client’s digital products. It is a well-known fact that you get the best productivity out of colleagues when they are in their happy zones. I believe this reason contributes to why we are able to churn out successful and happy clients on an ongoing basis.

We always consider our loyal yet sustaining client base as our biggest achievement. Initially when we began, we worked hard, established ourselves in the market, build trust among the customers and succeeded in all our endeavors. This has now grown into an achievement that 90% of our clients are willing to work with us again. Our way of dealing with complex business structuring through technology has been appreciated by our clients.

How do you schedule the development phases of the apps to promise the timeline to your clients?

We do this by acting as technology thought partners, not just as development outsourcer. We schedule development phases customized to our clients’ needs. This means taking into consideration their business goals, the functional needs, and of course their time to market. All of these, when taken into context together, result in the best technology solution.

How do you help your clients in choosing the right yet profitable platform for app development?

When our clients approach us, we identify their requirements, views and their expectations from their business’s perspective and get an idea about their choice of platform in accordance with their preferences and audience in mind. This is the case when the clients’ requirements are clear, otherwise we do provide our ideas as per our experience after analyzing the necessities based on various factors. Once the analysis is done, we help them understand the solution, the need of the chosen platform and the aspects for development in detail along with explaining the competitive factors, industry needs, targets’ expectations, the trends and let them compare their views in attaining the project scope. Once our clients can comprehend the core objective of our discourse, we will ask them to make their choice. We never compel or stress on our clients to make decisions as we expect, but will always guide them in choosing a platform that will be profitable for them in the long run. We also have a research team that operates for the purpose. We are happy that none of our clients had second thoughts about the choices they have made so far. This again is one of our achievements in helping the clients understand the development of the project in the larger frame and approach their business constructively.

Which would you suggest for a successful and profitable business progression, Native or hybrid apps? How do you define the factors that influenced you to make this choice?

Each project is different and so are the project requirements. While discussing the project requirements, project scope and the clients’ investment, we suggest the best profitable platform. If the client’s requirements are better matched for a hybrid app we can efficiently develop hybrid apps as well. However, for most businesses our suggestion would be developing a native app because of its performance and accessibility of the core functions. Native apps can perform better on all the situations. The app will work aptly on various screen resolutions, with better efficiency, high usability, high functionality, good touch and feel, expressive UI etc. are a few advantages of native apps. Though the requirements are different, these advantages apply for all the apps developed for native platforms. The experience of the app user is also an influential factor that we suggest our clients to opt for Native Apps.

How do you scheme your pricing model? How do you fix your budget?

We generally opt for a value-driven pricing model, flexible to suit customers’ needs. We work with customers’ budget and business requirements, and propose solutions that take both into consideration. What are your thoughts about AR, VR and Internet of Things (IoT)?

IoT has improved our lifestyles more than what was expected during its instigation into the technical world. We expect all our gadgets to communicate with us after the arrival of this magical technology. Though the technology has not been applied widely, its true potential is yet to be revealed wholly, it’s a revolutionizing technology which is about to change the entire system of our lifestyles in near future.

Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality are the two completely different recently popular stimulant technologies that are inspiring us. AR and VR make our surroundings more interesting and engaging. The technologies are transforming our real world and have been adding great experiences. AR and VR technologies as of now are widely used for gaming apps and can innovatively be used in enhancing business apps. It won’t be long before these technologies will become inevitable part of our daily life.

What do you think will be the future of Mobile technology?

The future of the mobile phone is already here. Almost 88% of people sleep alongside their mobile phones. We take the phone everywhere with us, so the opportunities are infinite. Location-based marketing is just one example of how mobile technology can unfold a world of opportunities. We are also focusing on mobile apps more than anything.
