Give us a quick overview on Leobit. When and how did you begin this journey and what were your motives to be successful in app development?

Leobit impressed me with its values, rapid development and growth, good reputation on the market and friendly working environment, which in 2018 prompted me to join the company as VP Delivery and Operations. Starting my cooperation with Leobit, I’ve already had profound technical and managerial experience in the field of Software Outsourcing and IT Services Delivery, and it became a good opportunity to invest all my knowledge into the development of a young and dynamic company.

What is your role in the management and development of Leobit?

My key tasks include: development and improvement of the company's delivery management system; expanding cooperation with the company's clients, building trust and establishing long-lasting partnerships; continuous improvement and expansion of the services provided by the company; development of the organization's PMO and management-level employees (Project Managers); improvement and automation of management and financial management processes; development of IT infrastructure and information security.

Tell us about your biggest achievement in the industry.

My career in the industry is the path from a software developer to the top-level management position. It helped me to have a good understanding of the processes that occur at different stages of software development, the motivation of software engineers and their decision-making process, as well as customer motivation and ways to build long-term business partner relationships.

How do you schedule the development phases of the apps to promise the timeline to your clients?

At the project planning phase, a crucial factor is a clear understanding of the client's business needs and ensuring such understanding by the client himself. In the future, we work with priorities, risks and available resources to choose the optimal development process and assure the achievement of client’s goals.

How do you help your clients in choosing the right yet profitable platform for app development?

 ‘Right profitable platform? This question without obvious answer unless you have a detailed understanding of the business needs, its priorities and available resources. We engage our technical experts, project managers and business analysts with a high level of technical and innovation competency, to collect and analyze various emerging factors and business drivers to further development of the optimal technology solution.

Among the important aspects that are taken into consideration are: the client's existing systems and special technical expertise of its team, future plans and scope of usage of the technical solution, budget and time constraints of the development, analysis and forecasting of future operating expenses for infrastructure and support, needs of integrations with third-party systems, special and non-standard user interface requirements, etc.

How do you scheme your pricing model? How do you fix your budget?

We have developed few pricing models that guarantee flexibility and offer optimal choice for our clients. Clients who need long-term cooperation and stability of monthly costs choose the Dedicated Team model with fixed monthly rate per resource. In cases where high flexibility and variability in the team structure is required, we recommend T&M model of engineers engagement on an hourly basis. Another alternative for small projects with well-documented requirements is the development on a fixed budget that reduces the client's financial risks, but at the same time somewhat decreases the flexibility in changing project requirements during the implementation.

How helpful are the mobile apps developed by your team, for enhancing your clients’ business?

From my team's experience, I can say that the importance of mobile applications and their impact on clients’ business was very different. In some cases, the mobile app was the key monetization technology component around which the company infrastructure was built. In other cases, mobile applications were developed as an addition to the main web-based product and did not always have the entire set of functions, but still were used for convenience of the end-users.

What according to you are the best practices to attain client satisfaction?

The best way to satisfy the client is to help him achieve his/her goals. In our work, we are guided by the rule: "Successful business of our clients is the key to Leobit success."

Additionally, at the operational level, the factors for achieving a high level of customer satisfaction are: building and maintaining good partnership and trusting relations; maintaining a sufficient level of transparency and customer awareness regarding the development process and tasks progress; timely identification and assistance in solving problems; professional level of obligations fulfillment and establishing reliable communication channels.

How do you update your business system to be in pace with technological advancements?

Our company, rigorously guided by the CTO team, pays special attention to continuous technology excellence that includes: various training for employees, research of the latest and emerging technologies and prototyping with their use, research of the practical application of novelties in innovative products, etc. Thus, we maintain a high technical level and proficiency of our Software Architects and Competency Managers, who are later involved in consulting and R&D projects of our customers.

What are your thoughts about AR, VR and Internet of Things (IoT)?

These are technologies of the future, which are already actively developing and became the basis for building many interesting and innovative solutions in the field of information technologies. I can't say that they are the mainstream technologies among our customers, but few IoT projects are currently under the active development by our teams.

In addition, IoT in Home Automation is my personal passion and hobby. I have established and have been constructing a "smart home" system that links various home automation devices and systems, including some that I personally designed and built.

What do you think will be the future of Mobile technology?

As we can see, mobile devices, their software, and fields of usage have significantly evolved and become extremely popular in recent decades. I expect that this trend will continue in the future. New types of mobile devices, sensors and peripheral devices will appear that, in its turn, will require and stimulate the development of a new generation of mobile technologies. AR, VR, AI will be increasingly used in mobile technological solutions.
