Give us a quick overview on Simpalm. When and how did you begin this journey and what were your motives to be successful?

I founded Simpalm in 2010 with a vision to build custom apps for companies and startups.I always wanted to be a Tech-entrepreneur since my college time, this led me to join a startup in 2006 to get hands on experience on entrepreneurship. While working at the startup, I saw a big demand of building custom apps due to surge of smartphones.  I saw this as an opportunity and started Simpalm in 2010 to provide custom app development services. Three years later, my friend joined as a partner and we have never looked back since then.

What is your role in the management and development of Simpalm?

My day to day role is to make sure that our team and clients are happy and we are growing our revenues. I work with my marketing, sales and project management team to make sure we are onboarding new clients and keeping existing clients happy.

Tell us about your biggest achievement in the industry.

We have been awarded top app development company in DC and Chicago market multiple times in last 10 years. We were the first one in these markets to bring global shoring model for software development.

How do you schedule the development phases of the apps to promise the timeline to your clients?

Our team estimate the timeline of the project before beginning of the engagement and we stay within the estimated timeline. Once we complete the Discovery and design phase of the project, we are able to provide very accurate timelines to client for the development phase of the project.

How do you help your clients in choosing the right yet profitable platform for app development?

We try to understand the user mindset and the functionality of the app in details. Based upon our understanding of the UIUX, we suggest to the client if client should build native apps, or cross platform apps or web apps. We show the pros and cons of various platforms and let client decide the best choice for the project.   

How do you scheme your pricing model? How do you fix your budget?

We provide both Fixed Cost and Time and Material model to our clients. When the scope is well defined, we provide fixed cost and when scope is not clear, we use time and material model. We always break our project into multiple milestones and track cost by milestones.

How helpful are the apps developed by your team, for enhancing your clients’ business?

We have built several B2B and B2C apps for our clients and these apps have helped clients in digitizing operation, improving productivity, increasing customer experience and creating new marketing opportunities.

What according to you are the best practices to attain client satisfaction?

Our culture emphasizes on listening to client’s need and also provide right suggestions to clients. We are not afraid of saying no to client if we see certain client’s requirements are not feasible. We love to educate our client on every aspect of app development so that they are fully aware of the process. With education, suggestion and setting up right expectations, we achieve client satisfaction.

How do you balance the need to innovate with the risks associated with new technology implementation, and what strategies do you use to mitigate these risks?

As a tech company, we understand that we continuously need to innovate and adopt to new technologies. We put aside certain percentage of our revenue towards new tech and R&D, which in turns help our team and the client.  This proactive approach of R&D helps us to mitigate the risk since we test the water in advance than trying to figure out on the go.

What’s the latest technology that you think can change your industry?

We see AI playing a big impact in changing the software development field. It will change the way we build software, test the software and also design the software.

How do you ensure that your company stays competitive in the market?
