Give us a quick overview of Techment Technology. When and how did you begin this journey and what were your motives to be successful in app development?

About Techment Technology:
We are a Product Development Company assisting our clients to fulfill their business needs and solving business challenges for them with the help of technology.
We strive to provide a high growth, collaborative learning environment, where individuals are motivated to take risks and deliver outstanding results. Headquartered in Bhilai, one of our visions is to create a foremost IT ecosystem in India’s tier-II & III cities so that the hidden talents, waiting for the right opportunity, can make their career where they belong.

A brief about our journey:
Back in the year, 2014, Techment had started its journey as a Training Program named RTD (Ready to Deploy) essentially to provide mentorship to fresh engineering talents from Tier-II & III cities of Chhattisgarh. The program was specifically designed to make the fresh graduates a deployable resource in the Indian IT industry.
While training these local talents, we came across a few high potentials and well deserving candidates, who due to personal reasons did not want to move to the metros. The realization that these Talents did not have enough Local Avenues to meet their Interest became the Turning Point for us. We decided to venture into IT product development to provide the Local Talents of Chhattisgarh the Platform they required.

As a technology partner, we are driven strongly by our principle of Agility, Simplicity and Innovation. Our principle reflects on our work on cutting-edge innovative products with the latest technology.


What is your role in the management and development of Techment Technology?

As a co-founder and CEO my primary responsibility is to ensure that Techment continues to make progress on it Mission and Vision. Provide strategic input to various vertical within the organization and get involved in implementation. Act as a mentor of team members, ensuring that they continue to up skill and inculcate leadership qualities in them.
On the implementation front I play a key role in business development, sales and finance.


Tell us about your biggest achievement in the industry

The number says it all, our biggest achievement is growing from a team of 3 engineers to 110+ employees i.e. we have grown two or three folds every year for the past 6 years. Started from Bhilai, we have now expanded our organization to Bangalore and USA. We have already been innovating in domains related to Real Estate, Agriculture, Healthcare, Education, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, E-Commerce, Sports, Consumer Products, Banking & Finance and solving business challenges for clients prominently from New York, San Francisco, Dallas, San Diego, Chicago, Orlando, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Australia and we’re again heading our way to many more domains, geography and latest technologies.


How do you schedule the development phases of the apps to promise the timeline to your clients?

Due diligence is given to each phase of application development with a constant focus on delivering a quality product within the defined timelines. Defect prevention, use of best practices and advanced tools play a key role in meeting the objectives.

We adopt an Agile methodology for software development as it addresses the client’s needs perfectly. It ensures the client's involvement throughout the cycle visibility & transparency on the progress of the project. It also helps change incorporation easier thus reducing the risks.


How do you help your clients in choosing the right but a profitable platform for app development?

As a technology partner, one of our key focuses on ensuring the most appropriate and profitable solution for the clients. The choice of the right platform depends on multiple factors. As a part of the initial study, we gather information on the core intent of the application, the target audiences, scalability needs and growth plans. These parameters, market trends and technical feasibility are analyzed to derive the most suitable platform for the app development.


Which would you suggest for a successful and profitable business progression, Native or hybrid apps? How do you define the factors that influenced you to make this choice?

Each approach has its pros and cons. It is basically the clients' requirements which drive the choice. Going the Native way is always beneficial as it enables better performance, security, access to native APIs. However, in case the requirements at clients end are towards lower cost, faster to market we do suggest adopting the Hybrid approach.


How do you scheme your pricing model? How do you fix your budget?

We have flexible pricing models to suit the work, type of engagement and client choices, if client has fix set of requirements then they can go for a fix budget pricing, if they want to start with an initial set of requirements and want to enhance it as they move forward then they can go for time and material pricing - we also offer heavy discount on time and material pricing if a client commits a minimum engagement time-frame, its win-win.


How helpful are the mobile apps developed by your team, for enhancing your clients’ business?

Apart from meeting the basic business-driven solution, a strong focus is towards providing the best user interfaces and experience. We make sure that the app has a simplistic approach, is responsiveness to the varying screen sizes, adheres to security norms and is scalable.


What according to you are the best practices to attain client satisfaction?

How do you update your business system to be in pace with the technological advancements?

We have taken certain initiatives to ensure that the team is not just aware of latest advancement in technologies but develop significant expertise in the new technologies.
Every team member at Techment is entitled for a technology training program sponsored by Techment. They use this to learn new technologies and process, for example Agile certification, course in Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning.

Learning Saturday which is a monthly event focused on knowledge sharing and peer learning. The team presents new technologies they have learned, best practiced, process enhancement etc. We also invite external speakers to support overall development of team members.

We have tried to create a very open and flat organization with an environment that is conducive to research and explore new technologies.


What are your thoughts about AR, VR and Internet of Things (IoT)?

We are stepping into an Autonomous Future and to develop that ecosystem, the latest technologies like AR, VR, IoT not only these but also ML, Robotics, Data Science, Blockchain etc are emerged to aid to our sustainable digital future. These technology trends will be going to change the way we live today and make our complex problems and day to day challenges very easier. Technology is ubiquitous today as we are already seeing it augmenting the health care, manufacturing, transportation, consumer behavior, finance, design and many more.


What do you think will be the future of Mobile technology?

Mobile technology has been evolving in a different structure from where it has begun. In recent years, mobile technology has faced great challenges and come up with greater innovations. We have achieved milestones in the development of mobile technology such as 5G connectivity, 3D touch to no touch required- voice control everything in mobile, even the features like self-repairing screens, flexible mobiles, fast charging, wireless charging, modular features- where an individual can replace a few modules of the mobile as per their requirement, sensation, IoT control and a lot more and still many researchers are augmenting these for a better user experience. There is no limit to the human imagination and the determination to bring that imagination to reality.
