Give us a quick overview on xEnabler. When and how did you begin this journey and what were your motives to be successful in app development?
xEnabler was created to provide unique proposition between off-shoring and in-house teams so that organizations can expand and shrink flexibly while getting the benefits they are used to of having an in-house development team.
I have led a number of technical leadership position before starting xEnabler and have seen the struggles that organizations face when hiring a digital agency or trying to outsource. Also, with in-house team being totally occupied on operational projects innovation can be a real challenge. This can encourage the risk of being outdated in this fast paced tech industry.

Tell us about your biggest achievement in the industry
xEnabler has been part of some of Australia's biggest mobile development projects. Our biggest achievement is a suite of mobile apps that are used by Smarter City Australia to provide end to end parking solutions including Pay by app solution, Compliance solution for parking rangers and virtual permit solutions used by the council to manage permits via app.
How do you schedule the development phases of the apps to promise the timeline to your clients?
xEnabler is a fully agile company. We work with 4 week long iterations to manage continuous delivery. All projects are given development efforts and delivery time based on scope. The tasks are then broken down in 4 weeks long iteration to allow agile development and continuous delivery.
How do you help your clients in choosing the right yet profitable platform for app development?
At xEnabler we put extensive time into understanding requirements as well as expected business outcome. We help clients using our "Simplify. Align. Enable." framework to make sure that our technical solutions not only aligned with the current business requirements, but also encourage the future business expansions and are easy to expand.
Which would you suggest for a successful and profitable business progression, Native or hybrid apps? How do you define the factors that influenced you to make this choice?
Native as well as cross platform have their own place in mobile development. It is completely dependent on business requirement which one will create successful and profitable outcomes for the business. At xEnabler we spend extensive time understanding target audience size, workflows, audience demography and application features to make an informed decision of technology. Since we have expertise in both native as well as cross platform development we are not biased against either and can make the decision that is right for the businesses.
How do you scheme your pricing model? How do you fix your budget?
We have fixed hourly prices for our development. During the start of a project, we do requirements analysis and estimate the project until we can be sure by 30% variance. This helps us estimate the realistic timeline and budget for the project. In many cases, a client may require on hire resources, in that case we provide hourly rating for the resource based on skill and location.

What are your thoughts about AR, VR and Internet of Things (IoT)?
Industry 4.0 technologies like AR, VR, and IoT has given the boost to mobile apps allowing them to serve users in a more personalized and powerful way. Especially, creating user experience that is easy to use and get personalized. It has also created significant difference for users who could not get benefit from traditional way of interaction with technology.
What do you think will be the future of Mobile technology?
Mobile technology is expanding from just being a phone to a whole connected ecosystem of devices that helps users interact with technology using phone, wearable, and sensors. Mobile apps are becoming a concierge of accessing services for users and are going to get more popular. They are already changing with other access devices like smart watch, voice assistants, AR/VR devices and other sensors. We at xEnabler are certainly looking forward to the future and what it holds.
