Ateliware is a software engineering partner with its European base in Antwerp, Belgium, working with startups, scale-ups, and enterprises across Europe, Latin America, and the United States. Our engineers bring senior engineering judgment with AI already built into how they deliver, knowing what to automate, what to question, and when a shortcut becomes a liability down the line. We build custom software and AI solutions around the problem, not the hype, with close, synchronous collaboration across time zones. To the technical readers: we are fully committed to the Spec-Driven Development paradigm using Open Spec and Claude Code to archive leading edge development performance.
Our teams have helped Prismos build a complex real-time media analysis platform and Timeseer.AI build and scale its data reliability platform. We have also worked with Enersee across Discovery, backend scalability, interfaces, and complex integrations, and with Lucy on the development of its e-invoicing platform.
Founded in 2011, Ateliware has also built companies of its own. We co-founded Pipefy, a global process management platform; and bootstrapped Trio, a high-volume payments platform and payment institution regulated by the Central Bank of Brazil, born inside Ateliware. That builder experience shapes the judgment we bring to every engagement: what to build, what not to build, and how to protect the business behind the code.

Lucy | E-invoicing platform
Built as accounting software, Lucy had gone dormant, with no maintenance and no team. When Belgium confirmed mandatory e-invoicing over the Peppol network from 2026, the codebase’s new owner faced a deadline set by law and no room for delay.
Through Squad Allocation, we took over the platform and brought it back to life. Instead of rewriting from scratch, we kept the inherited stack and built the full Peppol integration. The platform passed a penetration test, and the squad grew after Yuki’s acquisition.
Launched in August 2024, Lucy completed Peppol compliance before the law took effect. Today it onboards 1,000+ companies a month, issues 100K+ invoices monthly and receives around 4.7 times more documents than it issues.
A Belgian platform dedicated to Peppol e-invoicing, used by SMEs and accounting firms to send and receive invoices, and compatible with any accounting software. In 2024 it was acquired by Yuki, a Dutch accounting platform owned by Norway’s Visma.
Keelspot | Maritime transport optimization
The maritime market was inefficient, with manual processes and 40% of new capacity underutilized. Keelspot needed a digital platform from scratch, but had low-quality code from a previous vendor.
We performed a Discovery to understand the target audience and business. Then, in the Product Concept and Build phases, we co-created and built a digital platform from scratch, with a data-driven approach.
The platform delivered in 8 months optimizes time and reduces freight cost. The solution, which includes a real-time tracking map, solved a business problem by transforming an inefficient market.
Pipefy | From MVP to leader, with $140M in funding
The market lacked efficient and accessible project management tools. Pipefy’s founder needed a platform that solved this pain point, for complete business monitoring.
We acted as co-founders, applying our business and technical expertise. Starting with the Discovery and Product Concept phases, we developed an MVP in the Build phase, which quickly validated the product in the market.
The platform was functional and attracted clients in just three months. The success allowed Pipefy to receive over $140 million in investment and become a global company.
Sistech | AI solution for displaced women
Sistech faced a bottleneck in manual learning plan creation, limiting its ability to increase the number of programme participants. The goal: scale technical training to tackle the 55% unemployment rate among refugee women in Europe and accelerate their entry into the job market.
We developed Lena, a Generative AI that automates relevant and impactful learning. The system processes profiles, generating tailored, Notion-based roadmaps focused on in-demand skills. A review interface merges technical precision with human insight, ensuring each plan leads to real employability.
Sistech is seeing a leap in capacity, with Lena drastically reducing the time it takes to create a personalized learning plan. With Lena, the time to create personalised learning plans is reduced by 64%, which means Sistech can serve many more women without increasing its staff.
Even better, the women are ready to adopt Lena! 80% trust their personalised learning plan, and 100% find it matches their career goals to some degree.
MatrixCargo | AI-driven accuracy in road logistics
MatrixCargo needed a solution to sequence load attendance in a more economical and optimized way. After 3 failed attempts with other vendors, they were looking for a partner to solve the problem.
With Discovery, we understood the problem and then built an Artificial Intelligence to calculate the lowest cost per trip. The MATRIX OPTIMIZER was developed by the Build service and runs on the cloud.
Cost reduction and improvement in the company's financial results. Load allocation assertiveness reached 95%, reducing planning time and operational costs. A real business impact.
Bcredi | Operating system built from scratch
Bcredi's software development project had been stalled for 6 months. The challenge was to find a software company with a business vision to diagnose the problem.
We started a technical consultancy with Discovery, followed by software development from scratch with Build. Ateliware built the complete operating system in three months with an MVP delivered in three weeks.
We delivered a solid foundation for Bcredi: not just an operating system, but a strategic partnership and a different mindset that the company uses to this day, both in operations and in business.
Trio | Financial solution that processes over 2 bi
The Brazilian financial system was slow for mass payments. The opportunity was to create an agile system for large companies processing a high volume of collections, especially with the launch of Pix.
Since Product Discovery, we focused on the business problem, and in the Product Concept and Build phases, we created a platform that guaranteed high performance and stability. An agile payment institution.
Trio now processes a high volume of real-time transactions. The platform obtained the Central Bank license and moves over R$ 2 billion per month. We solved a major business pain with robust technology.

Aviagen | Dynamics 365 F&O Implementation
Aviagen needed to migrate its legacy system (AX 2012) to Dynamics 365 F&O under a requirement: “Zero Customization” directive. The core challenge was executing this transformation within a non-stop biological operation, ensuring zero production downtime.
Ateliware deployed an squad of hybrid professionals (consultants + developers) to accelerate problem-solving. We applied Design Thinking to sanitize critical data and restructure processes, ensuring the new system was lean and fully compliant with standard industry patterns from day one.
The implementation was completed in a record-breaking 8 months—significantly below the 12+ month market average. Go-Live occurred over a single weekend, with the seamless migration of 16,000 fixed assets in 48 hours, ensuring immediate stability and total operational and fiscal continuity for Aviagen.
JCB | Robust system migration in 8 months
JCB needed to modernize its internal systems, as the old software (Lotus Notes) was about to lose support. It was urgent to migrate applications and data to a modern platform without disrupting crucial processes.
Through the Build service, we developed custom solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, migrating Lotus Notes applications. We adapted complex approval workflows to maintain internal processes.
The transition was completed in 8 months, with 14 functional applications delivered. The migration generated information traceability, cost reduction, and process optimization, all aligned with the business.
Votorantim | Preventing millions using AI
Votorantim required a custom solution to monitor and alert about fraudulent transactions in real-time, as the previous vendor did not meet their complex business needs.
We deep-dived into the business through a Discovery. Then, we created and built SYKN, an Artificial Intelligence platform that uses Machine Learning and Big Data to issue automatic alerts.
Sykn monitors Votorantim’s operations 24/7. We prevented financial losses in the millions within a short period, proving how custom technology can generate a real and measurable impact.
