Designpluz re-engineered the Instant Tax Return System ("Tax Today"), a local tax preparation service, by developing a cloud-native web application that replaced the old desktop and server-based backend system. This new approach led to a consistent operational model across its branches, real-time tracking of operational performance, a significant reduction in IT costs with real minimum disruptive updates, and rapid response to operational and service requests. Some specific features included a secure customer portal where customers could book appointments, upload required documentation, track refunds, and a direct integration with the Automated Fund Transfer (EFT), and create an automated reconciliation with ATO payments and credit/risk checks. This entire system was hosted on Azure, which was also in a microservices setup, and the use of a cloud-based system gave staff and clients the ability to provide or access services remotely, leading to new branches going live within hours of setup, which certainly enhances TARSC's operational capacity and general responsive efficiency.
Anglicare
Designpluz partnered with Anglicare to develop a custom web application that streamlined visitor management and resident service requests across 70+ aged care villages in NSW. Tailored for elderly users, the solution featured a clean, multilingual interface accessible via in-village kiosks, making it easy for residents to check in visitors and request services. The application reduced staff workload, improved operational efficiency, and empowered residents through direct feedback features. Seamlessly integrated with Anglicare’s service management system, it eliminated manual data entry and errors. Hosted securely on Microsoft Azure, the solution demonstrated Designpluz’s expertise in delivering practical, user-centric technology for aged care.
