Runadam
Being among the most unique and pioneering sports tech platforms, RunAdam posed us with many challenges. The first and foremost was a deep understanding of the sports ecosystem and the involved players; we were not only looking at the aspiring or established sportspersons but also giving a new interactive platform to every related career within the sports field a new opportunity. We also had to ensure that the designs were cross-platform and extremely easy to use, as our audience represented different tech savviness.
The Define phase started with shaping the problem statement at hand and taking a complete download of information from the clients. We were certain that an idea as novice as this required in-depth research and understanding of the sports ecosystem. Our research resulted in identifying the key personas; viz., athletes, coaches, sports professionals, and the general public.
We were also able to identify other opportunities and needs during the research phase such as the need for booking a venue, hiring a coach. Established athletes were inclined towards an option of choosing to mentor an aspiring athlete and many businesses were willing to sponsor an athlete etc.
Our user journeys helped us design a cohesive and coherent platform that successfully fulfills the needs of all the members of the sporting ecosystem.
Mission Bio
The biggest challenge for us was to understand the subtleties of the niche segment within Bio-Technology that Mission Bio practised in. Secondly, we had to heavily rely on the inputs received from our clients, as we didn’t get direct access to the actual users.
Another challenge for us was to keep the data visualization interfaces extremely intuitive and devoid of clutter to empower the end-users for making quick and informed decisions.
Mission Bio wanted to enhance the experience of its end users by offering digital, intuitive and state-of-art applications. They engaged team Lollypop to design and develop a customer portal for engaging clients seamlessly by providing a single point of access for all the transactional and profile information. On top of that, Mission Bio wanted us to design a one-of-a-kind cloud-based Designer platform that could aid biotech practitioners in cancer research.
Additionally, they wanted to overhaul their data visualisation desktop application ‘Tapestri’, to enhance the intuitiveness, usability and functionality of the application.
myIMS
myIMS is an app built for students aspiring to crack competitive exams. It offers a complete digital experience to students who aspire to excel in competitive exams while guiding and motivating them to achieve better results.
The first challenge for us was to craft an intuitive, exciting and engaging platform that could instil confidence in students and encourage them to study smarter. Second, to reduce the clutter in the app to bring forward the more important services and functionalities, so it behaves like an extended support to the Web app. The third challenge for us was to deliver an anytime, anywhere access platform for greater usability and accessibility.
Rising aspirations of students and parents, combined with a highly competitive atmosphere, coaching institutes are rapidly adopting technology to stay connected with their students 24×7. IMS, a leading learning institute which has been an early adopter of digitization, has continuously advanced towards enriching the experience of its students. Lollypop Design was their design partner in re-designing their myIMS app.
Team IMS helped us to understand the vision of the product and the long & short team expectations. The UX Researchers at Lollypop conducted in-depth research to understand the users and their mental model. Listening to the users gave us a fair understanding of their experiences, beliefs, preferences and behavioral pattern.
Knowledgehut
‘Knowledgehut’ as the name suggests is a place for learning. It’s an E-Learning platform with ‘Virtual Classrooms’ and ‘Training Programs’. Every module, every bit here required to emanate a sense of learning and knowledge.
We had to drive on their core principle, making “Knowledgehut” synonymous with “Empowering Workforce”. This meant that it had to be defined as a dynamic e-learning platform where one can learn and also teach amidst a fast-paced world of evolving technologies. With innumerous courses of different durations, our focus was to increase the accessibility through balanced grid and to reflect strong consistency in every page by defining all modules.
We began by building on the existing brand of Knowledgehut.
Since they already had a website, our intention was to simulate the virtual learning center with vibrancy and added spark reflecting youth. Colors and Font were carefully picked to maintain the focus on content and provide a fine balance of legibility and readability. We also worked to produce a very simple and descriptive guide to help toggle between pages and courses.
Vodafone Idea
Lollypop’s biggest challenge was to understand the uncertain & volatile telecom market and its unique complexities, simplifying user’s digital experience being a major one. A bad experience at any touch-point can cause customer attrition and thus loss of business.
Our task was to overhaul the entire digital branding while glorifying the merger of the two global brands. It was imperative to craft a seamless digital experience through a mobile app that would enable a seamless transition of users from the existing apps of the two brands.
Our team of UX Researchers conducted workshops with the clients to understand users’ pain points, expectations and motivations in order to arrive at the usability score of the individual apps.
We also conducted a thorough research on the user reviews on the market place. Most of the apps had outdated design language and the experience also needed to be relooked.
We started with identifying personas and creating user journeys. We defined intuitive workflows such as recharge, bills and balance checks for the users and pitched for various first of kind initiatives directed boost customer acquisition and engagement.
In the UI, we gave a completely new and fresh look to the app by updating the design system to match the new brand guidelines. We brought the boldness of Vodafone and the playfulness of Idea.
Every screen prompts us to take an action, thus leading to another screen and hence higher engagement. Elements including the icons and the artwork are in sync throughout and a right balance of colors red and yellow highlights the brand integration of both brands.
Aha
aha is an Indian subscription video on-demand and over-the-top streaming service that offers Telugu and Tamil content. The principal purpose of this redesign was to bring a richer and more premium experience while keeping it simple. The target audience in mind was users ranging from Tier 1, 2, and 3 Indian cities. One of the main keywords emphasized was Glocal which meant global in terms of values, ethos, design elements, and experience and local in terms of simplicity. Some of the other requirements as mentioned by the stakeholders:
Make the app feature-rich by allowing users to seamlessly choose and change their content language along with their display language
Provide easy content discoverability, parental lock features, and improve the current glitchy TV experience.
Design a seamless and an enjoyable TV viewing experience - create guidelines and understand the interactions by studying remotes of various TVs and studying other apps on TV.
