Their main challenge was to build a Shopify-approved payment application that connects Boodil’s backend payments system with Shopify stores, while satisfying Shopify’s strict compliance, security, and operational standards. The goals included:
- Develop a secure, scalable Shopify app that enables merchants to accept Boodil payments seamlessly.
- Implement enterprise features — refunds, sandbox mode, webhook handling, multi-market support, currency handling.
