DesktopHero 3D: Design of an app for modeling unique 3D characters
Before starting the project, we had to determine the pool of main tasks. Here are the main ones:
- Design development for the 3D model constructor, considering the peculiarities of the gaming industry and specific user experience.
- Ensuring adaptability of the design to the technical conditions of different devices.
- Creation of the landing page concept.
All work related to both mobile and desktop versions of the app.
The result of Perfsol’s work exceeded customer expectations:
- The app’s design inherited the best traditions of computer games, and at the same time, it was unique and memorable.
- Analysis of the DesktopHero 3D audience showed that the app is equally popular among PC and mobile users, confirming the excellent adaptability of the developed design.
- The client approved the concept of the landing page and plans to add it to the resource in the near future.
Now the beta version of the DesktopHero 3D app is available to users. It means that work on the product continues, including an ongoing collaboration with Perfsol.
Filmo: Responsive web design for mobile and desktop versions of the quiz game
The client intended to increase the audience by introducing the adaptable design of the existing app. The task was to make the digital solution as convenient as possible for all users:
- players who often use mobile devices;
- content authors who mostly create and upload content from a PC.
Moreover, we had the task of updating the user interface, making it user-friendly and close to the game style. It seems like a common requirement when designing apps, but it is very crucial nonetheless. Users always pay great attention to two things, ease of use and graphics. After all, it helps retain loyal gamers and attract new ones and, therefore, increases the app’s popularity. We strived to achieve this and managed to create a decent UI/UX.
We love working on exciting and promising projects like Filmo, so we involved the best analysts, developers, UI designers, and web designers in its implementation. Our project manager ensured regular communication with the customer. After several meetings, we outlined a plan of work that we had to complete on the project:
- Target audience and competitor market analysis;
- Responsive web design for Filmo;
- UI design update;
- Optimization of the user's journey in the app;
- Adding a Tutorials section to the digital solution.
Riverside.fm: A full-fledged platform for working with videos
Our company faced the task of creating an actual video workshop with online access. This way, users were allowed to create, edit, and post videos while working on just one resource. Integration with Spotify and Apple Podcasts was significant. Developing algorithms for the correct transfer of analytics from the specified platforms to the customer's resource was also necessary.
There were no difficulties with integration with streaming platforms, but the algorithm for working with analytics had to be selected for a long time. The reason is that services are reluctant to share analytical data, considering it a commercial secret.
The following technologies were used: reactjs, nodejs, cubernetes.
The development process included the following: Scrum, 2 FE, 1 BE, UI/UX (remote by the Riverside), One DevOps, PM.
According to the results of almost six months' work, the customer received a service that met all his wishes. The client was delighted with the mobile version of the resource, which contained the full functionality of the desktop version and was even more convenient to use. Currently, the customer is engaged in implementing the resource and turns to Perfsol in case of need, as we provide technical support on demand. The cooperation left a great impression on both sides and will not be the last.
DNS:NET TV: Custom Video-Streaming App
It was a great decision to turn to Perfsol and when the client saw the result of our work he was absolutely happy with his choice. Our work resulted in TV apps for both Android mobile and Android TV platforms. Thanks to our expertise we added new useful features such as timeshift/instant replay, as well as synchronization of progress between devices, which we got from Netflix.
In addition, the following features were added with our efforts:
- Ability to watch live TV and VOD;
- Customization of favorite channels;
- The capability to save TV shows when users don’t have time to watch;
- Ability to watch the show recordings;
- Lots of formats with selectable options;
- Electronic Program Guide (EPG) grid view.
Camugo: Video Streaming App For Coaches
The client came to us to help him with a video playback app for his project. The first thing we did was analyze his idea and requirements. After drawing a rough project plan and confirming all the deadlines, we got to work. Then we started writing the code for the project, both the frontend and backend parts. It was a non-trivial task for our experts to integrate a number of desirable features, but we managed to do that as well. After the final touches and polishing, we released the app.
In the course of the project, we used the following technologies: Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, Kotlin, ExoPlayer.
Our specialists are true masters of video streaming app development and even the presence of non-standard tasks or rare features is not an obstacle for us. We currently support the application by adding new features to it.
Allego: Mobile Dev Staff Augmentation for Training Solutions Firm
Due to the rapidly growing demand for new Allego features, it was necessary to increase the speed of feature development. At the Scrum conference, together with members of the Allego team, we discussed in detail the goals of the new features, their feasibility, development methods, and implementation processes. We also decided to use two programming languages, Java and Kotlin.
Our Senior Android developer was involved in the project. They suggested speeding up the process of writing new functions by using Kotlin. Then convert the created code fragments to Java for further development.
Thus, together with the client's team, we quickly developed all the necessary features that expanded the capabilities of the app's users. Allego now has convenient tools for creating user-generated content and communication between study participants.
Voice X: Developing an iOS app for changing voice
Our work resulted in an iOS app that can be described as a state-of-the-art voice modifier. We implemented:
- the possibility to record and edit audio files;
- the option to save the recording to the user's gallery and send the file to friends;
- convenient navigation;
- function to set an audio recording as a ringtone.
The successful completion of the project was made possible thanks to the correctly chosen work methodology. We used Scrum. It involved dividing the workflow into small segments called sprints. We also constantly held retrospectives, brainstorming meetings, and other events. It allowed us to notice and fix problems in time and generate the best ideas to achieve the client's goals.
Since the customer was satisfied with our cooperation, we were also entrusted with post-release support of the software product. The team is currently working on improving the app's performance and eliminating minor flaws in its operation.
Cura: Android TV And Cloud Display Image Management App
Cura app is a simple and handy image management software that allows you to sync and manage your photo or art wherever you are. Not only users who want to decorate their homes with their favorite photos, but also professional photographers and even art galleries who want to give audiences a new perspective on their work will find the app useful.
Specifically, the client wanted:
- Enable and easily manage the use of all types and sizes of quality digital displays or frames across brands and manufacturers in homes or buildings.
- Provide easy-to-use applications and cost-effective services that enable as many consumers as possible to manage, display and enjoy their personal captured memories.
- Provide the capability for new value opportunities and business models to photographers, artists, and other creative professionals.
The project started by implementing image management functionality for Android TV displays, but after a while, the customer realized that it was necessary to cover as many devices as possible, including Apple devices. So the project evolved into tvOS development as well as backend and could support AWS. Perfsol properly responded to the customer's requirements and extended the team with an iOS developer, one frontend(React) developer, a backend (Java) developer, and a DevOps engineer.
The development was successfully completed and the application went to release. The customer has received exactly the features he expected along with a high level of customer focus and technical skills.
Transformify: Multi-Functional Workforce Management Tool
Perfsol has built a custom solution for Transformify for almost two years with PHP symphony and some UX/UI improvements. We implemented all the features specified in terms of reference, constantly communicated with the client, and shared our expertise so that the final result was of the highest quality and quickly attracted new users.
