BildList Web Design & Rails Development
Pieoneers carried out cross-platform product planning to ensure a great user experience on the mobile web app creating a responsive seamless UI and building the web server in Ruby on Rails.
The BildList application allows service providers to create professional profiles, add job history to their portfolio and include a service map of the areas they operate. The interactive map shows all listed projects with locations, descirptions and images, thus making the discovery process for a homeowner convient and intuitive.
As a web development project, BildList started with refining ideas and drafting wireframes to identify the product scope. With inspiration and a careful design process, the initial user interface was shaped and brough to life with a few of our favourite technologies, Ruby on Rails, Twitter Bootstrap, and KnockoutJS.
Booth TM iPad App & Rails Development
Pieoneers build the iPad application for the iPads installed outside of the photo booths. Rails back-end was created to help upload, save the user data in the could as well as allow sharing the live stream of exciting photos on the social media. BoothTM does not just look good, it is revolutionizing the whole photo booth experience by making it interactive and social. The challenge was to create both a hardware and software solution to extract images from the booth camera through the built-in computer to the interactive iPad app and then to the web server implemented in Ruby on Rails to enable instant photo sharing on Facebook and Twitter.
The upgraded booth experience is creating new smiles and silly faces that are instantly shared and enjoyed by your friends online.

GameSheet iPad App Development
Pieoneers has been a long-term development partner for GameSheet to help develop and upkeep the iPad app used by hundreds of hockey leagues across Canada and the US.
For nearly as long as the game has been played, the stats for each game have been recorded on carbon copy paper and mailed to league officials for review and filing.
GameSheet is turning that on its head with their iPad and Web based platform which allows complete game data to be recorded in real-time and sent instantly to league officials.
Statistics are generated and shared with league and team websites, parents can follow along with stand-alone Android and iPhone apps and all of the important game data — including official signatures — is stored safely and securely in the cloud.
The completely revamped administrative website is vastly more user friendly thanks to dashboards and workflows tuned specifically for each type of league official (coach, manager, referee, convenor, director).

UBC DRH Web App UX/UI & Development
Pieoneers has become a development partner for UBC helping with product planning, design and web development of the DRH project. DRH is the world’s first comprehensive online quantitative and qualitative encyclopedia of religious cultural history.
The DRH is one of the flagship initiatives of the Cultural Evolution of Religion Research Consortium, based at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, but involving Partner Institutions and collaborators from all over the world. It is intended as a platform for unprecedented academic collaboration, reflecting a commitment to rigorous, scholarly standards and a deep appreciation for interdisciplinary work in the sciences and humanities.
