SoftTeco was working on the marketplace’s chat creation and server development. The frontend part was developed via React.js while server part was written in C++ and Erlang. The application features extensive filter options, location-based freelancer search and a multifunctional chat.
The ability to create and modify orders, make payments and launch the mediation process within the chat window, makes the chat module a truly unique component. SMTP server and meta blocks deliver main interaction elements: offer creation, offer response including renegotiation. All users can perform various roles (customer, freelancer) and negotiate contract terms under the admin’s supervision.
Cheetah
SoftTeco was responsible for all work related to iOS development. The team updated the old parts of the code by rewriting them in Swift and made the architecture consistent and highly suitable for unit testing. This was an important client’s request since there is a 100% unit testing coverage for the product. We also significantly facilitated the UI testing process by automating it. Before that, the developers had to manually create a UI test for every feature and now the process of test writing became more automated and streamlined. As well, the team was responsible for adding new functionality to the application and work on the user flow redesign.
Waycare
Right after launch, the product catered for maintenance
services only (i.e. road construction works notification). After
successful implementation of the product with several urban
services, the client expanded the functionality and made the
product applicable for emergency services as well, including
911, police and fire departments.
The app enables emergency and maintenance urban services to
timely react to incidents and provides a clear view of both open
and resolved incidents in the area. The integration with public
cameras and maps enables 24/7 real-time monitoring of the
events that happen in the area.
Caajoo
SoftTeco was requested to develop a product that would connect customers with local service providers, ensure
smooth communication between them without any extra commission, and guarantee security of data and transactions. Thus, our team had to pay special attention not only to the functionality of the app but also to its security and data storage.
COVR
The client wanted to develop a 1-stop mobile security tool that would be more than traditional password keepers. The app would also act like a payment authonticator for personal bank accounts and online merchants.
The initial development was focusing on the backend infrastructure of the password vault and the two-step
authentication system. Later, the team has added online payment authorization too after the client has partnered up with several banks in Scandinavia.
The app was released on time, meeting the specifications put forward by the client. SoftTeco continues working on the project as the client is expanding its partnership network and keeps customizing the solution
RoadLab
The World Bank, a member of the United Nations Development Group, brought SoftTeco on board to develop an application for measuring road pavement quality as a part of its project for improving infrastructure worldwide.
RoadLab uses accelerometers, gyroscopes and GPS to autonomously measure and evaluate road roughness on
IRI scale (International Roughness Index) before sending the information to local road maintenance
organizations via cellular network or Wi-Fi.
Algorithms used by the app account for vehicle’s speed, suspension type and phone’s position in order to achieve precise measurements for road pavement quality. The app starts making measurements automatically when the vehicle’s speed reaches 30km/h or it can be controlled manually. For the sake of preserving battery life and cell data, readings synchronization can be made only when connected to Wi-Fi.
The app also includes a feature for manual submission of dangerous road problems such as uncovered manholes, severe road bumps or debris. A user only has to take a picture of the issue and it will be sent with GPS coordinates to a local road service.
